Shikata Akiko Harmonia Concert Tracklist…

Shikata Akiko just had a concert a few days ago, for those who are interested. Here’s the tracklist:

  1. Opening Movie
  2. Harukanaru Tabiji (遥かなる旅路)
  3. Movie -Chi no Shou- (-地の章-) EXEC_CHRONICLE_KEY/.

  23. EXEC_PAJA/.#Misya extracting (Encore)

The concert is separated into 4 sections: Earth, Water, Wind and Fire element, similar to the Harmonia album. Each section is introduced by a “movie”, not sure what that involves, but it’s probably some artsy video accompanied by her music.

When I first saw the list, my feelings were mixed. I was happy, depressed, surprised at the same time.

Happy because the songs she performed are almost perfect. The earth section (Chi no Shou) is probably my favourite, with Mahoroba, Chronicle Key and Metafalica to boot, I don’t think it could be more perfect. The other sections aren’t too shabby either, and the amount of Ar Tonelico songs is unimaginable.

Depressed because I wasn’t able to see Shikata performing all these amazing songs live. Hopefully she’ll release a DVD, but I doubt it…

Surprised because I thought it was a Harmonia concert, and I expected only Harmonia songs. And probably because of that, I felt that I missed out even more…

On another slightly related note, Tsuchiya Akira (Gust Sound Team) had written some words (casual review) on Shikata’s Harmonia album.

Couldn’t be bothered translating the whole thing, but he felt that the album is very well made, and the songs for different sections of elements are beautifully crafted. Oh, he also admitted that his re-arrangement of the Ar Tonelico 2 opening song is a bit “weird”.

Responses

  1. *sigh*

Looks like we missed another great concert again… :(

  2. Hope for a DVD release… I think that’s the only thing we can do… Yea…

  3. And speaking about Harmonia, looks like no one is going to be able to get the extra song that’s gotten through download from the special card that first press CDs included…

  4. Nah didn’t even try. Pretty sure you’d need a Japanese handphone and send the mail.

Unless anyone managed to put it on the internet ><

  5. Actually, any cellphone can send the mail. The problem lays in having a phone that supports japanese.

  6. You sure, the sender’s handphone would need to have a japanese return mail address as well I think.

  7. Well, LOKFanatic tried to see if he could do the download, and he got up to the second step.

However, he couldn’t continue because his phone didn’t support japanese encoding, and thus the mail appeared as a garbled mess.

  8. Wow… But it’s not easy to get a phone that supports Japanese yea. I haven’t tried the internet, but kind people might have uploaded it… maybe.

  9. The set list looks amazing! I really, really, really, really hope Shikata will release a Harmonia concert DVD too.

By the way, I was able to get a Japanese friend to download the bonus track “Acqua”. However, it’s only 44 seconds long, but it makes for a beautiful ringtone.

  10. Ah would you be kind enough to send me the ringtone (over the internet of course ^^)… I’d really love to have a listen.

But yea, we can all be hopeful for a DVD release…
